Dave was recently diagnosed with multiple sclerosis and attended the MS Cure Fund's Educational Seminar that was held Saturday, October 18, 2008 at the Cambridge Hyatt Regency.
Here are some wonderful words of inspiration and hope Dave sent MS Cure Fund:
Dear Susan and Ann,
I want to thank you for a great morning at the Hyatt this past Saturday. I am so thankful that you put on this event and shared your feelings and experiences with MS. I was diagnosed with MS in June this year and its been tough to deal with at times. I have a great family that has been so supportive and loving through all of this. But sometimes I feel very alone. I know people cannot totally understand what I'm going through. Just six months ago I had very little knowledge of MS myself. The DVD you debuted really moved me. Dr. Weiner's presentation was excellent. I gained
a lot of information from the whole morning and left feeling good about my future. I sat next to Candice from Fairhaven and shared experiences and thoughts with her. I'm taking Copaxone and I spoke with Cheryl Coleman from Shared Solutions and she was very helpful and caring. She introduced me to Lynn Stazzone and she gave me some great information. I have to tell you I was sick most of the week and found that it made my MS symptoms worse. That morning I was still feeling lousy. I took the T in from Braintree with my father. On the walk from the T my head was stuffy, my legs were heavy and tingly, and I was grumpy. After the seminar I felt great! I was still a little stuffy, my legs felt a little weird, but I felt great. It was such a positive event!
Thank You!
Dave
